Description
These seeds were collected from Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus, also known as Daikon, Oriental radish, and Minowase. These annual vegetables like to live in full sun to partial shade and the fast growing leaves can get about a foot and a half high. These plants have flowers with white blossoms. Young leaves can be eaten raw or cooked and are a bit spicy. They are great in salads. Young flowers can also be eaten raw or cooked. Seeds and seed sprouts are also great for cooking and adding a kick to your recipe. The seeds are also used to make an oil. This plant is also grown to repel beetles from your cucumbers and tomatoes and root flies from your carrots.
